Haemorrhoid removal is not as complex or scary a process as it was.  It is still considered kind of a final resort.  The explanations being that almost all of the time, hemorrhoids will essentially heal themselves and surgery may also be rather painful and occasionally dodgy though it is mostly successful.  With advancement in medical science one or two hemorrhoid removal techniques have surfaced in recent times.  These so called standard techniques physically take away the tissue that causes the soreness and pain.

There are three main haemorrhoid removal methods that are used by doctors.  

The 1st system involves making an incision in the swollen tissue and removing the over the top tissue.  This method helps in reducing agony and inflammation.  However a lot of times the tissue does not heal properly ensuing in an infection and worsening of the situation.  Even after surgery the operated vein may not return back to its original shape and state.  Sometimes the operated portion is stapled to shut incision to avoid opening of the operated area due to pressure and strain.  Surgery may not be an assured hemorrhoid removal system.  

The second method to get rid of hemorrhoids involves tying an elastic band to the distended part.  This technique is called rubber band ligation.  This process cuts the blood circulation to the distended varicose vein.  With no blood circulation the pile shrinks and becomes standard.  This system does work for some folks however it is not a 100 percent warranted technique.  

3rd on the list of standard pile removal techniques is the laser method.  In this technique a laser beam is used to shrink the hemorrhoid.  This technique may need several sittings.  This method is similar to surgery and may not always work for each and every person.  

Before you go for any of the traditional hemorrhoid removal methods do a detailed analysis.  If required take a 2nd opinion from a different doctor.  Always do a proper due diligence before you choose a particular treatment option.
