If it seems like people have been on a green tea binge as of late, you’ve got that healthy habit down. I am so very excited about all the positive research about the benefits of green tea. More exciting news comes out everyday. But, you may want to do more research before you take my word for it. I mean after all I am only your neighborhood reporter and beauty goddess. (Bet you didn’t know that was my formal title, did you?) Here is a small list of widely available, peer-reviewed information:

2001 International Journal of Cancer
Green tea is well known for helping prevent many different chronic diseases. This was a study that was done using people and not animals, for analysis. Mice, fish and green tea were not studied together. They really used real people in China.

2003 International Journal of Cancer
Green tea is found to inhibit angiogenesis and certain forms of cancer. These cancers can’t develop without angiogenesis happening in your blood cells. Which means that the healthy habit of green tea will actually help stop cancer in its tracks.

2006 Journal of American Medical Association
There has also been a decrease in carcinogenic deaths due to green tea. Studies showed that those who drink more green tea happen to have lower cancer mortality rates. In a nutshell, green tea basically appears to help them avoid or recover from cancer better.

2009 American Journal of Epidemiology
Blood and lymph cancers can be held at bay by green tea. A new Japanese study indicates that drinking 5 liquid cups of green tea each day can reduce the probability of developing these issues by up to 50 percent.

Just imagine, those are just four out of thousands….

As you can tell, green tea is definitely a healthy habit worth keeping. If not already a habit, start drinking green tea now and make it a habit. And trust me, it’s so much better and better for you than starting any type of bad habit. Some people like to brew their own tea while others take it as a supplement. Can’t stand the taste? Try it in a capsule. Your will live longer and healthier by indulging in this healthiest of habits.
