Meditation for health - Healing Your Body and Mind Through Toning
If you are having a look at ways to heal your heart and spirit that are a little different to the typical pills (which always come with side effects) or visits to experts, then you need to consider meditation. One such meditation that is good for self-healing is a meditation of healing using toning.
Toning is a useful approach to healing your body and mind through the utilising of your voice. This is a vocal healing meditation that may let you free your inner voice and connect to the vibrations of your natural body.
When toning you ’sing ‘ sustained, vocalised tones that resonate in your body. Through toning, you vibrate and excite your complete physical system. You literally tighten up your body, which helps control blood flow, increases oxygenation and heals the nerve system, glands and organs. Here is how to do it:
(1) Stand yourself up with your feet particularly well grounded and your arms and shoulders relaxed. Now start to turn into your centre; it could be your heart or lower abdomen area. Then continuously feel your inner hum expand out through your full body. Hum into your muscles, bones and interior organs.
(2) Now permit that hum of yours to open gradually into a full declared sound or tone, and maintain it so that you feel it resonating throughout your whole body.
(3) Now ask yourself what you really want to fix. Picture any negatives that you would like to shed now being expelled out of the bottom of your body and through your feet. Continue your throat toning into any part or area of your body that you think wants release or healing. Now make any types of sounds you wish to make. Let them arise carelessly. Then, at the same time imagine that your voice toning is connected with the vibrations of the whole world and universe.
(4) When you're feeling you are ready, it will be time to stop your toning meditation. Stand there and remain silently for a few moments and then affirm that your body is totally healed and reinvigorated.
